Primary 5-7 at St Peter's Primary had an excellent morning with Joanne from the North Ayrshire Rangers Service learning about fire safety and the Scottish Outdoor Access Code. The children all used a flint and steel to light their own fire and had great fun toasting marshmallows.

We had a brilliant walk with the Bat boxes to hear the bats we saw a number mid flight we then went to the pond to see them diving, I got a great action shot the first image of Sharn with the head light with the Bat mid flight to the right. We also heard Tawny owls. We learnt a lot it was fabulous

Attended a workshop about animals at Drusilla park

Kids exploring the Itchen river. Slow worm heading off into undergrowth. Harvestman in head. Video of riverbed with interesting plants. Children looking at moorhens and southern damselfly.

It took us a while but we got it done

So we went to try and see the Badgers 🦡 in there natural habitat not on the side of the road, it was brilliant to see all the evidence along the way from paw prints to holes but sadly we did not see any badgers, we did get to see Bats hear Owls and other night creatures on our walk back.
