This is an annual event our scouts take part in every year where the community gets together and cleans up popular walking routes and roads in our little parish. Both our groups Discovery and Explorers got together and even got our youngest section the Beavers to help out with this major litter pick . Being Scouts anyway most locations we visit gets a big clean before we leave them plus both our groups thought no harm getting more practice in with the litter pickers as they will be doing more litter sweeps in the areas chose for their projects and having a litter pick anywhere has a positive impact on the Environment

Our Explorers got together with our Discovery group and even got our groups youngest section involved the Beavers with the annual parish litter pick . This fits in nicely with their John Muir Award and more practice on the litter picks do no harm and lots of good for our planet. This was a successful session and will be more sessions like this one done in our chosen areas for their awards.
