Hot chocolate and marshmallows, what could possibly go wrong!?

We managed to get a fire going despite the rain.

Today we took our Kelly Kettle on its maiden voyage to the woods. We made hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows!

Today we made bird boxes with Mr.Allison's help. We got to stain the wood to protect it, we put nails in the roof to make sure it was safe & made holes just big enough for smaller birds so predators cannot get to them. Mr. Allison taught us all about the different types of birds that will live/nest in our boxes & we even went outside & managed to catch a glimpse of a few of them!

Today we went to Balloch & Loch Lomond. We walked around Balloch Country park & walked part of the John Muir Way! It was so cool to see where he had been! We found out about lots of different tree's, plants and also came across poison fungi! We really enjoyed our day and learned a lot more about John Muir & his life!

Today we went back to Robertson Park. We visited the pond and watched the wildlife, there were lots of birds! Then we spent the rest of our time doing a litter pick, there was lots of litter to collect! We worked in pairs and by the end of our litter pick the park looked so much cleaner! We learned how it is a great way to conserve and also keeps the animals safe from nasty litter and plastics!
