We looked at different fungi and plants, then researched them on the internet to find out what they were.

We sat quietly and listened to the different sounds we could hear. We heard leaves rustling on tree branches and on the ground, birds, wind, the wire fence rattling and some cars going by.

We wrote to thank NCDT for providing a gate to let us walk safely to the woodland. Now we can go behind the school and not next to the A701. We got a nice reply from Mr Currie who was the Chairman.

We saw some squirrels and were able to snap some photos of them and my family found some berries which looked interesting. I enjoyed feeling the smooth bark of the ash tree - it was really grounding... But I was saddened by the reality that the ash dieback disease would take these beautiful ash trees away. It was such nice weather today so it was lovely and sunny! I saw lots of people on my walk at the reserve realising how important nature has to been to us all during lockdown and how significant it has been for maintaining our mental health. We must protect it at all costs because without it, our mental wellbeing will suffer.

Visited the pond in Cuttle Brook and saw a tree with white leaves and another big mushroom! The platform next to the pond is used for school children to explore and connect with nature. W/c 7th Sept 2020

Managed to find a lot of litter around the place and while I was picking up some rubbish, a frog jumped out at me and I saw a squirrel but both of them were too fast for me to take a picture... W/c 31st Aug 2020

Went for a leisurely walk, saw a really big mushroom and a weirdly shaped tree which looked quite cool! W/c 24th Aug 2020
