Lichen is a plant that mostly grows on trees but can grow on other things like concrete and grass.Lichen is a bio indicator which tells you is it is clean or not.There are different types of lichen yellow lichen tells you that the air is dirty white,green lichen tells you that the air is clean gray lichen tells you that the air is in the middle. We went to two places the Easter inch moss and the main road we went to the Easter inch moss first and we found a lot of white lichen a small amount of yellow and one patch of grey lichen when we went to the main road we found a lot of yellow lichen no white lichen and no grey lichen which tells us that the air in the Easter inch moss was cleaner then the air in the main road so lichen is really important to tell if the air is clean or not.

Today was officially our last day of John muir, we’ve done a lot in John muir and I actually really enjoyed it! My favourite activity was the silent sit. The reason why is because it’s relaxing to just sit and listen to the sounds of nature. My 2nd one was the birch tree cutting, it was pretty obvious why. Okay if it’s not obvious to you I’ll explain, everybody thinks that cutting trees are wrong don’t they? Well the trees that were in the peat were damaging the peat. So what we did was chop them down. My 3rd and final favourite activity is the den building, me and my friends worked hard on our den (2 of them left me and my other friend to build the den) We built a simple stick den with moss covered over the top of it. The den probably took us about 5 minutes to make but it still looked brilliant. Overall John muir this year was absolutely phenomenal, I have had an enjoyable time doing John muir especially because this is my last time doing John muir at primary school.

On the first day of John muir we went to bug hunting. a boy 👦🏼 in our class got a spider, milapead and a senapead .but we all put the bugs 🕷🐞🐛 back

Today was the last day:(WHY). We had fun the four days of John Muir. How we done them we got a RANDOM stick, then we got wool, then we got a leaf for example and put them on the stick, then we went on the scooters, then every 100 scoots collected a RANDOM thing. Then we completed are journey stick.
