This is boden boo pictures from 2 weeks ago .it was supeeeerrrrrrr fun 🤩

We went to the woods and we had metre sticks and trundle wheels. We measured the trees and the distance between them. We used each other to measure the trees.We had to hug the trees to see how many of us it would take to go right round them, it was usually three people around a tree. Then we had to stand in a line and measure each other from finger tip to finger tip. We measured 6 of the bigger trees. The widest trunk was 3.58m The narrowest was 2.10m We also measured the distance from the entrance of the woods to our sitting circle. It was 34m. It was fun hugging the trees!

Last week we took traffic surveys to see how much traffic was on the road next to the wood. Today in maths we made graphs to show in a more understandable way how much traffic we saw. We had to draw it in a colourful way so that people will pay more attention about how much we need to reduce our carbon footprint. The graph show there are more cars than we thought. Public transport is very poor where we are so you can only catch 2 buses a day.

This week I did some work on my spreadsheet, sorting out the pictures and noting them down on excel! In these photos you can see a fox, a mink and a moorhen. :) W/c 9th Nov 2020

The Elderbank Nature Hunters planted more trees and learned about how to look after them. Everyone got a chance to plant their own tree.
