The Elderbank Nature Hunters shared their experiences with their class via a powerpoint presentation. The group got the opportunity to tell the other members of the class about the Award. They were able answer questions about the fantastic activities they took part in to achieve the Family John Muir Award.

Today we walked from the village of Ovington to the village of Martyr Worthy. The walk was mainly on country lanes and paths and the river Itchen. There were some grand properties and livestock. It was also quite busy with cyclists and people. We took quite a bit of time showing S our route on the OS map. A man spoke to us at length. He was watching out for dogs worrying sheep as he said this was a problem in the area.

You know when you see a little bit of plastic off the path and go to collect it? But then it turned out to be a whole bin bag-full of bubble wrap, well buried under leaf litter. We persevered and dug it all out, along with 3 rolls of tape and then half filled another bag within less than 200m of the start of the Common. We will have to return another day to complete the job as the bin-bags were not up to the weight of rubbish! Luckily there are bins within the site, so we could leave the split bags there.

"Date night with the fox! The moon is shining along with few stars my gaze falls on a fox with hunting eyes What can I offer to a wild guest right at my doors? I had to share some of my chicken thighs Now that is how you start wild date nights " Such smart creatures! They came back other nights and stared for more chicken thighs. Not to domesticate these beautiful animals, I had to leave them alone to do their hunting.

Boden Boos woods are immaculate and ours are not got tooking care of till now. We want our woods to be nice and people can learn. Our class are visiting different woods and taking photos of there woods so we can make then like that. Right now we have matress springs lying in the middle of our woods and there is beer cans in them but we are going litter picking so it is getting better. We are going to make our woods a fun and safe place.

This is Boden Boo and our wee woods. 2 weeks ago we went to boden boo and seen what they done to there woods. We also played some fun games. We also investigated a lot of things. We went down to the beach but the tide was very far in. We have been doing some litter picking down at our woods and we are trying to cut down trees and branches.
