The Wish you were all here session! Today was a breakfast fry up in Mr Nicol’s garden. On the menu was Quorn burger and sausages on toasted bagels. A how to presentation for safe, responsible outdoor cooking.

Last week was litter pick week. Some reports of little litter in their area but some reports of lots of plastic. We collected lots of little bits of plastic, mostly sweetie wrappers, from the playground.

We went to do some mapping today! We thought about how someone would know where to find our space, what shape and size it was and what its features were. We made some sketches while we were outdoors and were able to walk through the space and think about where everything was. We all saw and interpreted things slightly differently.

Hazel explored the area where she lives and looked for signs of spring. She made a collage of pictures to share.

Me and my mum and dad went for a walk on a very warm day and i took some pictures of flowers!

This is my spring is here collage. The mole hill is there because moles are most active in early spring.

When I was out and about I spotted lots of signs that spring is here! Some of them were snowdrops, crocuses, buds and leaves beginning to appear on the trees. I also noticed that the birds were once again singing. I managed to identify a song thrush, robin, great tit and goldcrest. Summer migrants are also beginning to arrive because today I spotted a pied wagtail in my garden. I drew a quick picture of the signs of spring I spotted. Isla
