We went down to do a bit more litter picking this afternoon and bumped in to a neighbour who told us all about the history of the area over the last 50 years! He had been born very close to our little patch and remembered when it had all been grass leading down to the canal. He had played there as a young boy, worked at the factory opposite (now demolished and currently being turned in to a housing estate) as a young man, had lived in one of the flats over looking our patch as a newly wed... He now lived just 300m down the road and two doors down from us. It was amazing to find out how much had changed within his lifetime.

For our John Muir award we made a ‘signs of spring’ collage.

We made a map of where we go to walk and where we do our John Muir award.

Zooey and I wanted to add colour to our maps from yesterday. We all journaled and added our maps to our journals (except Zooey who added it to her 'Wall of Spring!")
