Today we went on a hill walk up The Cobbler. It was so fun we were able to get to the very top of the hill while getting muddy, we looked like mountain monsters. At parts it got really STEEP! It was really hard but we kept going. It was really fun but really hard when we got to the top it was like heaven then when got to the bottom it was so relieving. #Never Give Up Never Give In

Team 1 10.9.19

Today we went canoeing. It was so much fun! First we had to carry the canoe out and then learn to tie the rafts together. After we went over the basics e.g. how to row, we played some games. We played: battleships, do my command and lots more! At the end we got to jump in, so the instructor turned over the canoe once we were out and we took turns to walk to the end of the canoe and jump of! First jumps we did was a cannonball, then we had to fall in backwards! It was freezing but enjoyable! After lunch we had a Bug hotel competition were we had to use natural resources,. We learned a lot about plants and bugs!

First we learned the basics and then we played some games and had races. Then we discovered a grassy beach and we explored it. I found some crabs. Then we went back and played another game. Later we went abseiling. It was split into two parts the first part was easy and the second part was harder.

Today we went abseiling and weaselling and we were all so muddy that we looked like a mud monster. There was really small tight spaces we thought we wouldn't get out. The abseiling was scary at first but then it got better.The weaselling was so fun but you had to be careful because it was very slippy. At the end of abseiling we were allowed to stand under the waterfall which was absolutely freezing but it was a great fun at the end.

We have set off on our outdoor residential week to Ardmay House. Throughout our time we will be learning about John Muir and the 4 concepts. Discover, Explore, Conserve and Share. We are looking forward to using this space to let everybody see how we have been connecting with nature over the course of the week.
