A love of wild Nature
-
The last blog of the last level of my John Muir Award. I've been reflecting on what has happened since I started it in May 2018. A global pandemic, a bereavement, funding cuts and redundancies at work - but the paths and the seasons and the 'wild' have been a comforting constant throughout, a place to escape to, and something to reflect on and write about. I love words and languages, and reading John Muir's work and writing my own Record eBook have been a huge part of my Award, and something that has given me a lot of joy and led to me sharing more writing elsewhere. So my last stitch-and-shares have gone to libraries shared alongside John Muir books, and I hope they find their way to someone else who is being inspired by his words to remember their connections to nature in this busy ever-changing world. "There is love of wild Nature in everybody, an ancient mother-love ever showing itself whether recognized or no, and however covered by cares and duties."
