(2 hrs) Fri 12 Jan - Cold and dark at Beechbrae

We huddled round the fire today, cleaning and sharpening equipment ready for the next 'Branching Out' group. It was bitterly cold again, the wind hardly ever stops up there. On the way out of Beechbrae in the gloom of the late afternoon, I was excited to see a deer trotting down the road ahead of me, before it jumped the fence into the beech avenue. Too far away for a photo, alas.
