Taking out the Tennents
-
I was delighted to be able to get back out with a group of Sustrans' most active volunteers last week on a litterpick on route 7 in Renfrewshire. On the way to the activity, one of the volunteers had spotted some cans in a bush on an access path and a few of us went to tackle them as we passed. One Tennents can after another came out of the bush....another ten, another twenty, until there were EIGHTY or more cans squashed and bagged up on the back of the trailer and on their way to the waste depot. I can't help but wonder how they all arrived in the bush...one big lager-lashing party, or a gradual build up, can by can? Either way, now that bush is back with the birds, thanks to people giving a little bit of time to the Network.
