Big butterfly count 21st July 2019

Took part in this nationwide survey. I had realised that have seen very few butterflies in the garden this year and survey had made me reflect that I need to think about putting in plants which they would find useful in the garden . Bees seem to be doing well but not butterflies this year.Six spotted Burnett and a ringlet along with a large white and speckled wood eventually seen.An extra sighting of a small tortoise shell shown seen in a garden centre today as well.Only managed to photograph these as others moved too quickly.
